About Ray
One operator. One founder at a time.
I'm Ray Williams. I've spent 15 years running delivery, operations, and client work inside founder-led service businesses. I now do that work as an outside operator, one engagement at a time.
Why I work alone
That's what I do. It doesn't scale, and it isn't supposed to.
Why not a fractional COO
How I decide who to work with
- A founder who wants a straight answer, not validation.
- A business that already works. I don't fix broken companies. I fix ones that have outgrown how they're run.
- A willingness to change something after the audit, even if the change is uncomfortable.
Strategy and execution, kept together
Engagements focus on figuring out what's wrong, deciding what to fix first, redesigning the workflow, and writing it down. When the fix is a fixed-price tech build, I handle that separately through RAWTech.
Most clients start and finish on the consulting side. The build path only gets offered when it's actually the right next step, never as an upsell.

Ready to stop being the bottleneck in your own business?
Start with a Friction Audit. In 2 to 3 weeks you get a clear picture of where time is leaking, who really owns what, and a 30-day plan you can run.
